- Necrotizing Periodontal Disease: This is a special type of periodontitis where one can see the infection lead to the death of the cells in the gums and jawbone. One can see this type of periodontitis only when a person is affected by systematic conditions such as HIV infection and malnutrition.
Maintaining good oral hygiene is a must if you want to keep these diseases away from you. Along with that, it is also recommended that you should visit the dentist once every six months as they will examine the complete oral health of yours and provide you with guidance that will help you keep your oral health in good shape.
