Sedation Dentistry

Every person has their own personal tolerance for discomforts that may come from dental procedures. Some people prefer nothing other than local anesthesia while others prefer to be sedated. We understand this and provide various levels of sedation dentistry to make your visit as pleasant as possible.

Nitrous Oxide Sedation

Nitrous oxide sedation, or the use of “laughing gas”, is used to reduce anxiety and produce a state of relaxation to help you through the dental procedure. This is an inexpensive method of sedation dentistry that comes recommended if it means the difference between peace and comfort instead of dental fear and anxiety for you.

IV Sedation

Sedation dentistry is provided by the doctor and team members in the office. You will be “put you to sleep” via IV sedation. This level of sedation allows for the greatest amount of comfort, and gives your dental team the ability to accomplish a number of dental treatments in one visit that will feel to you like a short nap. This procedure requires a prior evaluation of your health, a few pretreatment instructions and an escort to take you home following your procedures.
